You don't have to manually parse the tags, you can use the following;

strip_tags($pmTitle, '<b>');

Where $pmTitle is your string, and the tags mentioned are the allowed tags, everything else between < & > gets stripped!

That's why you create your own proprietary method of code samples etc.  Introduce
tags like proper forums do.  strip_tags is an efficient method of stripping harmful tags out and allowing certain html. Your method is probably over-complicated and really inefficient.

So nerr!!!!

I really wanted users to be able to demonstrate code samples so I'm using

htmlspecialchars(stripslashes($string), ENT_QUOTES);

This translates any slashes, quotes, < and > into their HTML equivalents.

Your 'pagination' suxxx..  Considering you didn't know what it was when I offered you my code several weeks ago.  Your tags jump around depending on what page you are on, what's all that about?  That shouldn't happen!

The tags don't jump around!!  There are five spaces for: "First Page", "Previous Page", [current page], "Next Page" and "Last Page".  If you're on the first page then there's no point in displaying the "First Page" or "Previous Page" hyperlinks.  I suppose I could display them darkened and not clickable.
